Child dedication is about Christian parents making a promise to God to do everything within their power to raise their child according to the truth of Scripture, which includes faithful prayer and setting a godly example for the child to follow.

“I asked the LORD to give me this child, and he has granted my request. Now I am giving him to the LORD, and he will belong to the LORD his whole life.”
